I left my van for two weeks; thought I had turned off all loads. Came back and all displays are flat - Kisae DMT1250 doesn’t respond with engine running, Victron 702 screen is blank. No charge accepted with engine on. Hooked a battery charger directly to cable leads to the battery with no result. How do I restart the BMS? Apparently everything drained and hopefully the BMS low voltage protection kicked in. Where to go from here?

It sounds like you've had quite the electrical hiccup there! It's definitely frustrating when the BMS (Battery Management System) isn't responding. From what you’ve described, it’s possible the BMS went into a protection mode due to the low voltage, which is good in a way—it should prevent the batteries from getting damaged. To restart it, you might need to disconnect the battery completely for a few minutes to reset the BMS. After that, reconnect the battery and see if it reacts. If the system is still unresponsive, double-check all connections and maybe try a different method of charging, like a DC-DC charger or directly connecting to an alternative power source. If all else fails, contacting the manufacturers or a professional to help troubleshoot could be the way to go.
Also, I see you're building a website—sounds like you're working on creating something useful! If you're sharing tips related to van life, energy management, or even something fun like a Dutch Bros menu, it could be a great way to connect with others. Dutch Bros has some amazing drinks to keep you energized during those long troubleshooting sessions, like their signature Frosts or a classic Caramelizer. If your site is covering a range of topics like that, it could definitely attract a variety of readers. Would love to hear more about it! https://broscoffeemenu.com/
